Scientific Evidence for the Existence of God

Summary: Claiming that DNA arose by chance, with four billion letters (4,000,000,000) describing every fine detail of our bodies and stages of our lives, encoded with four letters in every cell, while we reject such a claim for a car catalog, is illogical. It is evidence of a creative Creator.
Atheism, or denying the Creator, is an extremely shallow and lazy judgment about an extremely deep issue that is filled with evidence. Atheism, in other words, is not a solution; rather, it is merely an admission of failure to find a solution. For the world around you and within you is full of countless proofs of the existence of the Creator, His wisdom, His governance, and the perfection of His workmanship.
In the atom and what is beneath the atom, in the galaxy and what is beyond the galaxy, in everything
And in yourselves. Then will you not see? [21] (Quran 51:21)
And He, Exalted is He, says:
Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? [35] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. [36] (Quran 52:35-36)
Reflecting on God's Creation
How astonishing that the God should be disobeyed! And how can the denier deny Him? In everything there is a sign of His, pointing to the fact that He is One. And for God, in every movement and every stillness, there is forever a witness.
But atheism by its nature tries to sophistically dismiss all proofs and deny even the most evident of self-evident truths; otherwise, its claim could not stand.
The Catalog Example

Imagine this with me: you left your house one morning and found in front of your door a massive catalog containing a detailed explanation of every component of a car:
- Its length
- Its width
- Its color
- The amount of glass it contains
- The laws of internal combustion in its engine
- The air pressure in the four tires
- The components of the gearbox
- How to deal with any malfunction that occurs
- The mechanism of the brakes and the degree of their tightness
And before all that, how every part of the car, big or small, was manufactured. All of this is present, and in the greatest detail, in the catalog and more.
The question now is:
Would any rational person doubt that the author of this catalog, with such detail, precision, and perfection, possesses knowledge, will, power, wisdom, and volition? And before all that, that he obviously exists? Does anyone deny this? It is impossible for your mind to jump to any other notion, such as supposing that the catalog wrote itself, for example.
The Genetic Code or the Catalog of Living Organisms
Did you know that every living organismhuman, animal, plant, insect, microbe, virus, etc.every living organism has within it a complete, real catalog that contains all the information specific to that organism?
Yes, a real written catalog. And it is not written merely with ordinary letters like the car catalog in the previous example. What is even more astonishing is that it is written in a coding systema full code that contains everything related to the living organism.
So, for every living organism, before it appears, all of its organs, their functions, and how these organs operate are encoded. The organism is meaningless without this encoding, and at the same time, the encoding is meaningless unless it is later translated into a living organism. It is a truly gigantic catalog written in a coding system in every cell of the organism.

The Index of the Human Catalog
And in the catalog specific to the human being, all your characteristics are written in a coding system:
- Your height
- The color of your eyes
- The functions of your organs
- The type of your hair
- The amount of protein your muscles need
- The laws that govern your body systems
- The speed of the electrical impulse in your nerves
- The rates of blood pumping in your heart
- The rates of hormone secretion in your glands
- ...
Everything in your body, small or large, little or much, is encoded in your personal catalog. There is an astonishing, precise detailing:
- For all your vital functions
- And the way your organs are manufactured
- And how your blood cells are produced
- And the systems of digestion, excretion, metabolism, reproduction, hearing, and sight.
- And there is an entire chapter dedicated to emergency situations, such as exposure to severe bleeding
- which necessitates the formation of a clot to seal the exits of blood,
- and a strong contraction of the spleen to pump the stored blood to compensate for the loss,
- and a complex multi-stage system to constrict your vessels so that your blood pressure does not collapse at the moment of bleeding.
All of this is written in the catalog. Also, in the catalog there is:
- A full chapter related to the preparations needed when exposed to a microbe, for example:
- the catalog contains the method of producing the defensive body IgG
- and the method of producing the defensive body
IgA, which is called the defensive body with special missions.
- A full chapter specifically on aging:
- it determines when the coronary arteries begin to narrow
- the skin to wrinkle
- and the hair to turn gray
The catalog precisely describes how all of this happens.
The catalog is enormous and contains everything about you and how to manufacture every detail of your body. It is one of the most astonishing catalogs imaginable, composed of four billion letters (4,000,000,000) in every cell of your cells. This catalog is called the genetic code, the genetic sequence, the genome, DNA, or the genetic encyclopedia, and it is found inside the nucleus of every cell in your body.
In front of this catalog, you must pause for a long time and think with me. This catalog is informational content, not material content. Information is one thing, while matter is something else. Information is the product of power, will, volition, perfection, craftsmanship, and wisdom. There is no room for chance or randomness in information.
Information proceeds from knowledge. And what is even more astonishing is that this gigantic informational catalog, as we said, is encoded, existing in a coding system. When it is decoded, the information, cells, organs, systems, functionseverythingappears.
So would any rational person doubt that the One who set down this catalog is All-Knowing, All-Powerful, All-Wise, Living, and possessing will and volitionand before all that, that He exists?
The Experience of the Atheist Director of the Genome Project That Led Him to Believe in the Creator
No living organism is without a coding system. No living organism is without a catalog through which its information, functions, and organs are encoded. This is the very issue that caused Francis Collins, the famous atheist and director of the Human Genome Project, who read the entire human genome for the first time in historya reading that took 13 years, beginning in 1990 and completed in April 2003this issue caused him to experience a cognitive shock and to reconsider this astonishing world, the world of the genetic code, after which he acknowledged the existence of the All-Powerful, All-Knowing Creator and wrote his famous book, “The Language of God.”
The First Living Organism as a Simple Example (Cyanobacteria)
If we look into the world of living organisms, the very first organism ever on the face of the earth, according to scientific research, is an organism called cyanobacteria (Cyanobacteria). The information of this organism has been encoded within its genome from the very beginning. There is no meaning to any organism whatsoever without prior encoding of all the information it will need and all the organs that constitute it.
The catalog or genome of the human being, as we said, is composed of four billion letters, which fill one thousand volumes of five hundred pages each, all contained in an area of one-thousandth of a millimeter, coiled around itself one hundred thousand times inside the cell nucleus. A genome the size of a pinhead carries information whose capacity exceeds that of a 4-gigabyte flash drive by a factor of a billion. All the information in the catalog is encoded in a quaternary coding system CGTA. So the issue is not merely letters; they are encoded letters.
The Conclusion
If you had a catalog in which all the information about a car was encoded, would you doubt for a moment that its author possesses knowledge, power, wisdom, and perfection? And it is self-evident that he exists. So what then when it comes to encoding four billion letters with utmost accuracy and precision? What should make you pause even more is that the code of the car catalog will remain a code written on paper, and if we left it in a room for a million years, it would never turn into a car. Whereas the catalog of a living organism turns into a creature of flesh and blood.
God is the Creator who created this code, the Originator who brought it out of nonexistence, and the Fashioner who formed it, so that it became a living being with a distinct form, three dimensions, organs, flesh, blood, and life.
He is Allāh, the Creator, the Producer, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. [24] (Quran 59:24)
Do you still, after all of this, argue about the Creator, the Disposer, the Originator, the All-Powerful, the All-Knowing?
Their messengers said, "Can there be doubt about Allāh, Creator of the heavens and earth? He invites you that He may forgive you of your sins, and He delays you [i.e., your death] for a specified term." They said, "You are not but men like us who wish to avert us from what our fathers were worshipping. So bring us a clear authority [i.e., evidence]." [10] (Quran 14:10)
And He, Exalted is He, says:
And We have certainly diversified in this Qur’ān for the people from every [kind of] example; but man has ever been, most of anything, [prone to] dispute. [54] (Quran 18:54)
